# Order Types

PRED supports multiple order types to give traders control and flexibility:

#### 1. **Market Orders**

Executes instantly at the **best available price** in the orderbook.\
Ideal for traders who want immediate exposure, even if it means paying the current spread.

#### 2. **Limit Orders**

Lets you set the **exact price** you want to buy or sell at.\
Your order stays on the book until matched, giving you better control over entry and exit.

> Example:\
> You place a Buy **YES limit order** at $0.45.\
> The order executes only when a matching **NO** order appears at the same price i.e. $0.45

#### Order options: <a href="#order-options" id="order-options"></a>

* Reduce Only: An order that reduces a current position as opposed to opening a new position in the opposite direction.
* Good Til Cancel (GTC): An order that rests on the order book until it is filled or canceled.
* Custom expiry: Set a custom expiry so unfilled orders auto-cancel.
* Order Delay - Orders placed during a live match on PRED (both buys and sells) are subject to a **3-second order delay**. Once you confirm a trade, it takes about 3 seconds to be fulfilled against the live order book, after which the filled position appears in your **Portfolio panel**.
