# How Are Markets Resolve

Each market has a **resolution condition** defined upfront.

Once the event concludes, **PRED fetches verified results** from our **sports data oracles and analytics partners**.

The correct outcome is then marked as **resolved**, and settlement is triggered automatically:

* **Winning outcome** pays out **1.00 USDC per share**
* **Losing outcome shares** settle to **0.00 USDC**
PRED resolves markets in minutes, not days by blending fast Web2 verification with Web3 oracle so winners can cash out and celebrate instantly.

> Example: Man United vs Man City premier league match
>
> In the upcoming English Premier League game Man Utd vs Man City, scheduled for September 13, 2026 at 3:30 PM UTC, If Man City wins, this market will resolve to "Yes". Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed. If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, this market will resolve "No". This market refers only to the outcome within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body and organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. This market was created on September 6, 2026 at 7:07 AM UTC.
