# Welcome to PRED

> [PRED](https://pred.app) is the world’s **fastest sports prediction exchange.** Think *Hyperliquid*, but for sports outcomes.\
> A place where every score, match, and season becomes a tradable market.

### **Quick Overview**

On [PRED](https://pred.app), you trade the *probability* of real-world sporting outcomes.\
Instead of placing a traditional bet, you buy or sell **shares** that represent future event outcomes. For example:

> “Will Spain win the FIFA Club World Cup this year?”

You can **LONG** and **SHORT** each market *(similar to perps trading)*\
Every share is priced between **0.00 USDC and 1.00 USDC.**

Shares are created when traders agree on odds, the sum of what each side pays always equals $1.\
\
At market resolution, shares tied to the *correct outcome* redeem for **1.00 USDC each**.

Unlike traditional sportsbooks, there’s **no house**, **no odds-maker**, and **no bias**.\
You’re always trading directly with other users and that unlocks powerful freedom:
* You can **sell shares anytime** before the outcome to lock profits or cut losses.
* You can **never be limited or banned** for winning too much.
This is **peer-to-peer price discovery**, not betting.\
\
It’s the open market for sports trading.
